The right number depends on the stem type and visual volume — not just quantity.

• Single-bloom stems (one flower per stem)
  → Usually 5–9 stems for a medium vase.
• Multi-bloom stems (several flower heads on one stem)
  → Often 3–5 stems are enough.
• Branching stems (e.g., plum or cherry-style branches)
  → 1–3 stems can create a full look due to natural spread.

Instead of counting stems, consider how much space the flowers visually fill inside your vase.
Aim for balance and air — not density.

Both approaches work — it depends on the mood you want.

• One variety only → clean, modern, minimalist look
• Mixed varieties → layered, natural, more expressive

If you're unsure, start with one main flower type and add subtle variation in size or tone rather than completely different colors.

Look at your largest surfaces first — sofa, rug, wall color.

• Neutral interiors → soft whites, muted pinks, light greens
• Warm-toned spaces → cream, dusty rose, terracotta tones
• Cool-toned spaces → pale blush, soft lavender, sage

Stay within 2–3 color tones for a cohesive arrangement.

They are especially effective in:

• Dining tables (as a low centerpiece)
• Console tables in entryways
• Bedside tables
• Coffee tables with a compact vase

Single stems are ideal when you want detail without visual heaviness.

Avoid symmetry.

• Slightly bend stems for variation
• Vary the height subtly
• Rotate blooms at different angles

Pairing them with 1–2 greenery stems also softens the structure and creates a more organic feel.
